a mother's gift.
this gift post is a little late for the occasion but i figured i would share! since i'm trying to live more thrifty i decided i would get crafty and DIY my mother's gift this year. i am really happy with the turn out. i came across this idea on a blog.

it's so easy. all you do is buy glass vases or use recycled wine bottles or jars, puffy paint them in your desired design and then spray! i chose a matte/flat white spray paint. i prefer the look of it versus the gloss. however, flat spray paint options are very limited. black & white is just about all you can get. the second arrangement is just a set of mason jars (about $2 a jar and i think they were 1/2 off at the time) and i used the same spray paint. those were for my best friend's mom. i scooted up to the grocery and picked out all the interesting green flowers/plants i could find (with a few other pops of color of course). anyways, it turned out to be a cool, CHEAP, gift for my mama that she absolutely loved. these vases are perfect for any occasion though. whether it's a house warming gift or bday gift, i'm pretty sure whoever gets them will be pleased. might try to get crafty for father's day. regardless, i'll be sure to have some posts up BEFORE you tell your dad how rad you think he is. cheers!
